  • Ocean of Compassion Buddhist Center 120 W Campbell Ave. Suite D Campbell, Ca 95008 Usa (map)

Sunday May 31 | 10:15am -11:15am | In person and Online | All times PST

Saka Dawa Duchen, one of the four great holy days in the Tibetan calendar, marks pivotal moments in the life of Shakyamuni Buddha—each a powerful display of enlightened activity for the benefit of all sentient beings.

On this sacred day, the merit generated by virtuous actions is said to be magnified 300 million times, as it commemorates Shakyamuni Buddha’s three major life events, according to the vinaya text Treasure of Quotations and Logic.

The Medicine Buddha represents an extremely powerful form of enlightened energy. The practices of Medicine Buddha are efficacious in healing and helping one to accomplish one’s goals successfully and can be of benefit to someone who is ill or who has died.

The text for this puja is The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel composed by Panchen Losang Chokyi Gyaltsen, available from FPMT.

Everybody is welcome to attend!

You are encouraged to bring offerings such as flowers, food (vegan, no garlic or onion) or small donations to create vast merit and benefit countless beings.
